Christine DeJesus is the instructor and choreographer for Elite Dance Academy. Christine graduated from St. John's University with a B.S. in Mass Communications. She has trained extensively in all styles of dance such as tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. Having trained under the guidance of many great teachers, she has been the recipient of numerous regional and national titles such as Pre-teen Miss DEA Nationals, Sr. Miss All American Nationals, Sr. Miss Dance Explosion, and Sr. Miss On stage America just to name a few. She has also received scholarships from prestigious organizations such as New York City Dance Alliance and Jump Conventions.
Her professional credits include 2006 tour with Mylene Farmer in Paris, 2006 MTV Awards with Shakira, 2007 Fashion Rocks with Fergie, the movie "Music and Lyrics" with Huge Grant and Drew Barrymore, 1800 Ok Cable commercial, 2011 Fashions Night 0ut with Joss Stone, 2012 Flash Mob with Nicki Minaj and Nokia, performances with Melissa Gorga from The Real Housewives of NJ.
She has studied and worked with many choreographers from “So You Think You Can Dance” such as Dan Karaty, Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Napoleon and Tabitha, Ray Leeper, Desmond Richardson, Andy Blankenbuehler, Tyce Diorio, Laurie Ann Gibson, Mandy Moore and A.C. Ciulla just to name a few.
Christine has been able to combine her years of extensive professional training and her love of teaching to create a unique experience in dance education for all her students.
